Ive followed the steps outlined in your little read me section. My symptoms are:

1.) Slow pulling up of files from my hd for about 3 weeks (could or could not be related, didnt find any disk errors)
2.) Popups for 3 days
3.) McAfee said that it found trojan.AlwaysUp and was unable to remove it or quarantine is 2 days ago when I visited a lyric website.

What Ive done:
McAfee scans with new defs on 5/27, 5/31, 6/2
MS Antispyware automatically scans at 2am everyday
Adaware - I had an older version that wasnt updating, dled the version on your page, ran it.
Cleanup - done
Ewido - done
Spybot - done
Windows Updates - Updated to sp 2 when it came out
Hijack This - log pasted below

Also, I installed msn messenger plus the other day and got all the software bundled crap on my puter, I uninstalled and some of it is still on my puter, particularly the stupid IE toolbar. Can you tell me how to remove that please, please please?

Thank you so much, I really dont feel like rebuilding my system if its avoidable.

Yes I already uninstalled it of course before I posted and I havent bothered with reinstalling it yet but it left its menu bar crap. The main problem is the trojan and all of the popups. Can anyone please look at my hijack log and let me know what I can remove? I am going to reinstall everything in a week if I cant fix this and I really really dont want to have to.

Sorry, missed the part about you uninstalling it. Personally I wouldn't re-install it but that's just me. Yes, I can help you get rid of your problems and no you won't have to re-format if I have anything to say about it .

*Open HijackThis.
*Click on "Open Misc Tools Section"
*Make sure that both boxes beside "Generate StartupList Log" are checked:

List all minor sections(Full)

and

List Empty Sections(Complete)

Click "Generate StartupList Log".
Click "Yes" at the prompt

It will produce a NotePad Page. I need you to copy the entire contents of that page and paste it here.

• Reboot into Safe Mode, you can do this by restarting your computer, then contiunally tapping F8 until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode, then hit enter. Then, run Ewido.
• Click on scanner
• Make sure the following boxes are checked before scanning:
  • Binder
  • Crypter
• Click on Start Scan
• Let the program scan the machine

While the scan is in progress you will be prompted to clean the first infected file it finds. Choose "clean", then put a check next to "Perform action on all infections" in the left corner of the box so you don't have to sit and watch Ewido the whole time. Click OK.

Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report

• Click Save report
• Save the report to your desktop

Reboot into normal mode.

Then, please run this online virus scan:
ActiveScan

Save the results from ActiveScan.

I need you to post the log from Ewido, the log from ActiveScan and a new HiJackThis log.
