Hi fellow geeks

I have a weird issue with a laptop that refuses to do anything with a hard drive installed, but have been able to install operating systems like Zorin & Ubuntu on an external HD connected through a USB. They were both too slow, so I installed Win XP. After it ran through the process, it restarted, but then gives the 7B BSOD.

There aren't many options in BIOS to try.

Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

It would also be helpful to know if this laptop (Micronpc Transport GX2) has a HD caddy that is required to get this laptop to boot. With an internal HD plugged in, I get nothing, not even POST, but it at least does POST with no HD connected.

Thanks in advance

Update:

The Transport GX2 actually requires the HD caddy in order to work. Not sure why this might be the case, but maybe that info will help someone experiencing the same issue.
