Indeed. A friend of mine was talking about how the Crucial Adrenaline system is really nice, but isn't that pretty much the same as what I intend to do with this setup? The Crucial Adrenaline is used as a SSD cache, and I've heard the term SSD boot drive thrown around in relation to using a generic SSD in a build like this. Is it possible to rig an SSD to do both, or is that what the regular SSD will be doing already?

I've also got another saved build list with a few different parts...the most notable being a different case. I might post that list here for comparison between the Coolermaster build, or if you'd rather I could simply put up a link to it or PM you.

No, you will be using 2 individual drive as against a coupling of drives.

As requested here's the Mark II build. However since some of the parts aren't directly linkable via the PCPP page I'll outline the list here. The only major differences that I can think of as I type this are the BitFenix case (not the Shinobi) which seems to have good reviews and "breathes" better than the Shinobi, the ram which is G.Skill Sniper (just like the ram on the other list) but with the difference of being clocked at 2133 instead of 1866. I'm not sure if it's better or not, but it was the same price as the 1866 ram so I figured I'd add it to this list until someone advises me to switch back to the previous chips. One good reason to do so would be that the 2133 ram is not featured on ASRock's QVL for the Z77 Extreme4. Another thing is, and I'm kinda taking this with a grain of salt, is that the 2133 ram's timing is 11-11-11-30 and I was told that generally the best ram is that which has timings wherein the first three numbers add up to the fourth...which isn't the case with the 2133 ram but is the case with the 1866 ram (it's timing is 9-10-9-28). If I'm wrong with this way of thinking and the 2133 ram is good, please let me know.

Getting back to the case, it seems that the BitFenix Raider has above average airflow, it has good features, and is well built and reasonably priced...it's not bad on the eyes either. I prefer the styling of the Raider compared to the HAF 922 so I made this separate list with the BitFenix case. One downside is that it's slightly more expensive due to the fact that it doesn't come stock with as many fans as the 922, so I added a 200mm fan to the list, to be added as a top-mount exhaust fan which should further increase airflow. Thoughts and comments on the case change are welcome. I've also been looking at the new HAF MX model.

Last thing, and this is minor is a swapped both hard drives for ones that have better ratings and I'm fairly certain they're cheaper...though I'm not sure of this, and I'm too lazy to check at this point.

Could you provide a basis for that claim please? The cards appear to be pretty much the same, save for the fact that the EVGA card is faster by default. Thank you for the suggestion though and if you can provide compelling evidence I'll definitely consider the Zotac card for the final parts list.

Hello again techies of GtG!

I've got an update which should see some more progress on this topic-o-mine, and that's that I've finally got a source of income which I can devote to my PC project. So I'd say I should be ready to purchase the parts by around mid November or perhaps December. Could be a bit earlier than that and perhaps a bit later. It's just a ball-park at present, but I'd say no later than January so we'll call that my deadline.

I'll keep ya'll posted as I find out more about my work schedule and as payments roll in.

I didn't really read much into the fact that the ram is low voltage. It's cheap with good reviews and the potential to overclock a fair bit (which I don't intend to do). I'll be sure to check the BIOS when I get the components assembled to see if the ram is operating at the proper speed.
