I have Outlook on Windows XP Pro notebook which worked until a few days ago. I get error 0x800CCC0D 'Unable to find the e-mail server". It still works when I connect to an ISP using the notebooks modem and Outlook Express works on the ICS (Internet Connect Sharing) Win 98SE host. I am using resolved server names. e.g. smtp.myISP.com. I can share files with the ICS host and IE6 works through the ICS Host. Outlook still doesn't work when I turn off Norton security on the notebook and ZoneAlarm on the ICS host. I had a Windows 2003 Server on the LAN isolated to its own domain but I wonder if it has configured my Outlook to go to its ExchangeServer, which I don't want to do.
