Hello and welcome to GeeksToGo! My name is Kat, and I will be helping you get your computer fixed back up and on the go! You should either print these instructions, or save them to a Notepad file on your desktop. Part of the fix may require you to be in Safe Mode, and you will be unable to access the internet at that time!

1. A malicious .DLL file is disrupting the LSP chain on your computer. We need to get rid of it.

1. Please download LSPFix from here.
2. Run the LSPFix.exe that you have just finished downloading.
3. Check the I know what I'm doing box.
4. In the Keep box you should see one or more instances of osmim.dll
5. Select every instance of osmim.dll and move each one to the Remove box by clicking the >> button.
6. When you are done click Finish>>.

2. I need you to download the following programs for use later in the fix.
  • Please download CleanUp!
  • Download CWShredder Here.Open CWShredder and click I AGREE
Click Check For Update Close CWShredder, we will use it later
  • Download Nailfix from here Unzip it to the desktop, but don't run it yet.
  • Please download the attachment delfiles.zip. (found as an attachment to this post at the bottom of my reply) Save it to
your desktop. Now right click the zip and extract the delfiles.bat to your desktop. Do not open or use it yet, we will use it later.
3. Reboot into Safe Mode by continually tapping the F8 key as the machine begins to boot. You will be taken to a screen where you will have the option to enter Safe Mode.

4. Run CWShredder. Click I Agree, then Fix and then Next, let it fix everything it asks about.

5. Double-click on Nailfix.cmd. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

6. Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below (if still present).
