itunes disc burning. Plz help?

Please help? In itunes, message says no supported disc burners found. Can burn in media player, but itunes purchased songs will not go to the player. Tried, uninstalling and re-installing DVD RW Drive, didn't work, properties in my computer>DvdRw drive (D) shows no free space on the drive. Why, and what can I do? Does this have anything to do with itunes not able to record a disc? I am not a computer Pro, so I simple to understand instructions. Thans for any help you may offer.

If you mean with no disc in that is standard, as all My Computer is seeing is the drive.
