My computer started crashing yesterday while playing world of warcraft i thought maybe it was overheating or just dusty so i cleaned the inside of my computer with some compressed air and tried playing again and an hour or so later it crashed again i checked the temp in catalyst control center and it doesn't seem to go any higher than 70C so i checked the event viewer and thought i would post it here as i have no idea what any of it means.

Hi kayrin ... ..:welcome:
did you clean the heatsink fins real good

download and install WhoCrashed from http://www.softpedia...oCrashed.shtml' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>here..
This program checks for any drivers which may have been causing your computer to crash....

click on it...then run...then next...put a tick in accept...then next..put a tick in the don't create a start menu folder..then next...put a tick in create a desktop icon..then install.. then make sure there is a tick in launch whocrashed...then finish...then click Analyze ...

if you get a message
This software requires the right version of Windows Debugging Tools for your type of computer. Because this is not normally installed and is not redistributable, we suggest you select the download option from below. Then the right package will be downloaded to a temporary folder and the required files will be extracted from the package automatically. You only need to do this once
click on download then try running it again
WhoCrashed will create report...you have to scroll down to see it
Copy and paste it into your next reply...

lets check your temps...
lets see if speedfan will give us more info...get it here
run it and post a screenshot...

then while you wait on me to check your speedfan results lets run System File Checker

The System File Checker is an important application which scans the integrity of all the protected system files

Click Start...All programs...Accessories...Right Click Command Prompt...Run as administrator
click on Continue...type in sfc /scannow...press Enter...

If any files require replacing SFC will replace them...directx is one of them
After the scan is done... Close the command prompt window.

your power supply isn't putting out enough juice...games are more demanding than just surfing the web or working with documents or pictures...how long does the system run without crashing if your not playing a game...

all power supplies are not created equal...you want one with a 80+ silver rating and if your system requires a 400 Watt PSU then you should get at least a 500 Watt PSU so you have a little headroom
