Ibm intel inside xp thinkcentre

Hi please need help... I h have a desktop computer which is an ibm think centre and it wont boot... I don't know what happened.. I don't have a boot disk or an xp disk.. As it is second hand.. When j turn on it says trys to boot up then just starts again.. Can access ctrl-s setup and utility any ideas?

Please clarify what you mean by "it says trys to boot"

Is there some message delivered as you use the term IT SAYS

Which screen is displayed - the post screen, the welcome Windows screen etc.
