Hi,

I was having problem with lagging on a game and was made aware that my cpu is not within the recommended guidelines, so I'd like to upgrade. My dad will do the actual work, but I need to get the proper parts to him and I am clueless....

I have- AMD Sempron™ Processor LE-1300

I need a minimum of- AMD Athlon XP 1500+

Hp say the ones compatible with my motherboard are:
AMD Phenom II Quad-Core
AMD Phenom II Triple-Core
AMD Phenom Quad-Core (A) 9xxx series (AM2+)
AMD Phenom Triple-Core (T) 8xxx series (AM2+)
AMD Athlon X4
AMD Athlon X3
AMD Athlon X2 (B) (AM2+)

Which of these would place me in the recommended specs, since the AMD Athlon XP 1500+ is not one there?

Sorry I am not so tech savvy....I appreciate any help with this :)

Thank you,

Grais

I'm playing the free version of World of Warcraft.... It's ridiculously slow on this desktop. That's why I went here- http://systemrequirementslab.com That's where I got the minimum specs for what is needed tp play, and the only thing that doesn't meet them to play is my cpu (AMD Athlon XP 1500+). I just need to find out which compatible (with my motherboard) one would meet at least the minimum specs to be able to play efficiently.

I do not think it is the CPU

YOUR processor
http://products.amd....False&f12=False

2300Mhz

The Athlon XP 155+
http://www.cpu-world...X1500DMT3C.html

Real speed 1333Mhz

Check this please

I consider the ram to be the more relveant factor
http://eu.battle.net...em-requirements

Minimum 2 Gb and you have 2Gb but your actual physical memory availablility is ONLY 634Mb.

Personally I would see what the ram can be increased to, before I even looked at the processor.

Thank you so much :)

My dad was discussing adding RAM, if possible :)

I think we'll see if that does the trick then...

Thank you so much for the help!
