Hmm ok what happens if you click on ATA0?

tried another laptop, same problem - a new uverse gateway being delivered tomorrow, I'll let you know it this is the fix. If it is, I have wasted your time and I apologize!

No you are not wasting my time. This is what we do but sometimes the resolution just takes a little longer to find. There is never a easy fix to every issue and yours is one of those times. Replacing the uverse may in deed fix the internet slowing down issue.

Mod, replaced gateway card and is working like a champ now! Thank you so much for your help. There used to be two PC's connected (one wireless)to the card, so it would have shown up in both of them and led me to the uverse as more likely cause. I should have thought of this earlier, you would have had no way of knowing my setup here. I learned quite a bit and will save the knowledge - thanks again for all your help! :thumbsup:
