HELP! Motherboard powers on outside of the case, doesnt turn on in

Just did PC build for the first time heres my case and my motherboard

MOTHERBOARD Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H


I gave the motherboard a test run outside of the case, everything powers on ok .. but once its installed in the Tower, the motherboard doesnt power on at all ?? ive taken the motherboard back out of the case and tested it again, everything works, but once i place it into the tower, nothing powers on?

Things worth checking include, if you used stand offs beneath the MB are they in the correct locations (only where there is a screw hole in the MB) otherwise the MB will short out, check for stray screws or bared wires for the same reason.
