Found a good deal on an AMD FX-8 8120 so need to revise the whole build :P

I am sure someone will reply.

3. I would urge great caution

Basically this is my first build and I want a bit of confirmation before I order the parts. It's for a friend and I would hate for anything to not work and I waste his money.


My advice is to NOT EVEN consider it.

Your first build should NOT be for someone else.

I suspect that you may not like this advice, but please be assured that it is the best advice.
You would not be the first to ruin a motherboard on a first build, certainly not the last, and when it is for someone else, it is even more of a disaster, I think than if it is your OWN build for YOU

Thanks.

I understand the risks involved and I'm happy to take them. Although this is my first 'new build' I do have a lot of experience repairing PC's. It's the compatibility side I'm worried about rather than the physical 'building' stage.
