Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 1564. The other day shortly after I installed Windows 7 Updates, I rebooted my computer. The Dell screen comes up and then the computer screen goes black and stops responding. I don't know if it's a hardware issue or because of the Windows update. I'd like to not reinstall the OS if I don't have to because I don't want to lose my files. Help?

Please do not duplicate your topic. It makes more work for members and staff and could potentially get you mixed advice being given. Your original topic is HERE so please edit your original post to include any new info but do not reply to your topic or someone may think you are already getting assistance. The duplication may be a glitch so I am closing this topic. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
