Hi rshaffer61

Thanks very much, I really appreciate any help at all so i dont mind waiting at all,

Asus P5WDG2WS-Pro Motherboard

300Gb System drive partitioned into 97.5GB (with 31.3Gb free space) and 181Gb (with 119Gb free space).
A Second 2TB Hard drive (with 214Gb free space)

So far i have downloaded and viewed the memory dump file with Blue Screen View and identified that my problem was caused by

tcpip.sys and ntoskrnl.exe

Heres the full report from Blue Screen View:

Crash Dump Analysis

Crash dumps are enabled on your computer.

On Thu 03/05/2012 21:00:17 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\050412-50528-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x7CC50)
Bugcheck code: 0x1E (0x0, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0)
Error: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that a kernel-mode program generated an exception which the error handler did not catch.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver which cannot be identified at this time.

On Thu 03/05/2012 21:00:17 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: netio.sys (NETIO!RtlGetNextExpiredTimerWheelEntry+0xE9)
Bugcheck code: 0x1E (0x0, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0)
Error: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\netio.sys
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: Network I/O Subsystem
Bug check description: This indicates that a kernel-mode program generated an exception which the error handler did not catch.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in a standard Microsoft module. Your system configuration may be incorrect. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver on your system which cannot be identified at this time.

Conclusion
2 crash dumps have been found and analyzed.
Read the topic general suggestions for troubleshooting system crashes for more information.

Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is actually responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.

Thank you for helping me !

0x0000001E: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

The Windows kernel detected an illegal or unknown processor instruction. A Stop 0x1E condition can be caused by invalid memory and access violations similar to those that generate Stop 0xA errors. This default Windows error handler typically intercepts these problems if error-handling routines are not present in the code itself.

Did you recently update any drivers in your system either via the manufacturer or Microsoft Windows Updates?

Yes the drivers for my audio card have just been updated,

But i had been experiencing occasional blue screens since before that update and blue screen view always quoted

tcpip.sys and ntoskrnl.exe as being the cause.

OK lets see if there are other drivers that need to be updated. Do the following and when you get the results please post the web address of the results page.

Please Run the PCPitstop.com OverDrive Full Tests

Here's how:

You must use your Internet Explorer for this procedure. (doesn't work so well in Firefox or others). If your machine is running Vista or Windows 7, you must Select IE to “Run as Administrator”. After completing PCPitstop OverDrive you can close your IE browser and re-open it Normally so that you are no longer running as administrator.

Go to: http://www.pcpitstop.com
Click on "Free Computer Check-up" listed below PC Pitstop OverDrive
In the User Login - Click on "Sign up FREE!"
You'll need to submit a valid email address and create your own password, then click - Create Account(button)

Now enter your email address and password to Log in, Select - Scan this system Now!(button)
You will then be asked to download an ActiveX component and allow it to install.
It is safe and does not compromise your privacy.
Follow the on-screen prompts to install the ActiveX and to allow the Full Tests to be run on your machine.

The Full Tests take about 2 1/2 - 3 minutes on most machines.
When complete, a Results - Summary - Recommended Fixes will be displayed.

Please post the URL internet address, from your Results, back here into this Topic Thread so that we can review the configuration and present performance levels of your machine.

Note: During the graphics 2D and graphics 3D testing, your screen will display some rapidly moving objects.
If you are sensitive to visual flashing, it may cause dizziness. Therefore, look away from the screen during that portion of the testing.

After reviewing the results we will be more informed and may be able to provide better recommendations for you to work towards improving your machine's performance.

While PCPitstop does offer a variety of Paid Products, the PCPitstop OverDrive testing is FREE. Please ignore the references to Paid Products. We prefer to provide manual solution instructions that you can apply directly to your machine.

Best Regards

I see you have Ccleaner installed. Are you using the registry cleaner in it?
Next please do the below and post as many screenshots as it takes to show me all the suggested drivers that need to be updated.

Download DriverMax and have it scan your system. It will open their website with all the out of date drivers you can update. With the free version you can update only 2 drivers per day so if you have a lot of them it will take a few days to get everything updated. I have been using it for about 4 months now and like it better then any other utility out there for keeping my drivers up to date.

Hi,

Yes i do use the registry cleaner of Ccleaner now and again,

Heres the screen shots of DriverMax,
Although the updates it says are needed, are all the same versions that i already have installed so i dont know why it is reporting that they need to be updated.

OK first with the registry cleaner.
A registry cleaner will not increase your system's speed or performance, and has the potential to break your registry to the point that your PC is no longer bootable.
We strongly advise that people stay away from any of the registry cleaners out there.
Go HERE to get more information about why registry cleaners aren't needed.

Thanks to Sari for the explanation

Next the drivers:

I would suggest the first be the SmBus controller and the LPC Interface controller.
From there then start at the top and get them in order. You will only be able to download and install 2 a day so you will have 4 days of updating to do. Always when done installing drivers make sure to reboot and test the system. See if the 2 drivers then resolve the issue.

Ok, Well with regards to the registry i always save a backup of the registry before cleaning,

My drivers dont need updating, the versions that are available as an update are the same ones that i already have installed, this program is reporting wrong, they are the lastest versions i have already.

Yes a OS issue but you keep saying it's not because it can't be a registry issue and your drivers absolutely can't be wrong.
