I've got an Acer 5320 travelmate laptop that I thinks has crashed, whenever I switch it on it automatically goes on to the acer recovery black screen. When I select the acer recovery option it asks for the disc. This laptop didnt come with a recovery disc but I had created one from the laptop when the laptop was functioning. When I insert the disc into the laptop it doesnt recognises the disc. When I go into F8 and select start windows normally it goes to a screen where is say its configuring do not log off. I leave it running for hours and it just stays in that mode. I cant seem to go beyond that screen.

Please help!!!!!!!!!!

Hi jolemac
Couple of suggestions/questions for you;
1: Have you checked for a Recovery Partition on your HDD by pressing ALT + F10.
2: Have you set the boot sequence in the BIOS so that the system boots from the CD/DVD drive first which will enable it to read your recovery disk.
