can any one help me? I have bought a used branded system intel 965 c2d 1.8 1gb 80gb sata. Now, I have installed windows xp and other necessary applications on it. When I rebooted it, it shows "NO BOOTABLE DEVICE: INSERT BOOT DISK AND PRESS ENTER" (Remember, I have pulled off the bootable cd from cd rom). Boot Order is OK i.e. HARD DISK Then CD/DVD Rom.
Amazing fact is that, When I reinserted bootable cd of xp into cdrom, then it showed as usual "Press any key to boot from cdrom" (I did not press any key so that it may boot from hard disk) well it loads the o/s and takes me to the desktop. Everything is working fine.
The same problem occurs again and again if I don't insert a bootable disk into the cdrom. Can I boot from the hard drive without inserting bootable disk into the cdrom.
Please urgent.
