When I tried to update earlier this week, my version 1.05 just timed out. I uninstalled 1.05 and installed 1.06 and it does the same thing. I followed an earlier post on this forum and deleted def.ref file and now, of course, have no reference file at all. All other applications work, and have no firewall operating at this time. Any ideas?
Although someone labeled this topic as resolved, it remains unresolved. I was able to update manually, and the program is functional, but the integrated webupdate tool and the check for updates now link, still do not work.

Sorry that your post was considered closed by another member as i had left it open for you on the likelihood you may still need assistance before the day was complete (which you still do obviously).

Ok, now I have the latest reference file, and thanks for your help.

Your last statement most likely prompted someone considering your issue complete.

Please re-review ALL of Ad-Aware SE's internal settings in the configuration profiles and i'll probably have you do a run down for me what setting are enabled as to the one's that are not.

If this is the case, it should just be a matter of making the changes to that section to allow those features to work for you.

Thanks.
