Hi Everyone,

I was just wondering if someone could help me. I got a new IPhone 4s today but everytime i go to sync it I keep getting ITUNES cannot connect to the ITUNES store error. I am connected to the internet. When i ran a diagnostics test it said "secure link to itunes failed". I have tried all the suggestions from the diagnostics test but still not working. I am not very technically minded so please bear with me. The only problem I can think of might be that my internet connection at home is provided by my employer so i have to connect via a proxy server in LAN but this has always been the case and i was able to connect to the itunes store before. Any help is greatly appreciated, I have attached the itunes diagnostics report below:

Is there any reason you're using a proxy server?

EDIT -> I just re-read your post and see the reason for the proxy. Is it possible for you to visit the local Wifi hot spot and attempt the connection without the use of the proxy? You would have to temporarily remove the proxy settings if you were to try it this way.

Also, you may want to add iTunes to the Windows firewall. Please see this Apple KB for instructions.

click on your start menu, then on "all programs", go to accessories, right click on the command prompt icon and choose "run as administrator". Once it opens, type in the following command...

netsh winsock reset

Press enter. If it prompts you o restart the computer, restart it.

Now open itunes and try to connect.
