Well try to make another recovery iso disk and to find the hard drive make you will need to open up the bottom of the computer like you would to replace the hard drive but not take it out just get the brand name off of it.

You have a serial ata so do not try to use F6 for SCSI since it is not needed.

Here are a different set of instructions to make the recover console bootable CD

Please download ARCDC from Artellos.com.
  • Double click ARCDC.exe
  • Follow the dialog until you see 6 options. Please pick: Windows Professional SP2 & SP3
  • You will be prompted with a Terms of Use by Microsoft, please accept.
  • You will see a few dos screens flash by, this is normal.
  • Next you will be able to choose to add extra files. Select the Default Files.
  • The last window will allow you to burn the disk using BurnCDCC. Click Burn
  • Insert a blank CD to make the disk.
  • Once the disk is done it will eject. Remove it and insert it in the ailing computer.
Your ISO is also located on your desktop.

Let's see if this new bootable CD works!

Let's hold off on this I have a better idea. Do not worry about trying to find the hard drive information.

We are going with an alternate plan just do not do anything else until I get back in a few minutes.

We never got the master boot record fixed so we will do this in stages, first we will do disk check using OTLPE, second we will do the mbr fix using OTLPE.

So here are the instructions for the first part.

Performing check disk /r in OTLPE

  • Boot up on OTLPE
  • When it finishes booting, double click My Computer
  • Right click on Local Disk C:
  • Select Properties
  • Click the Tools tab
  • Under Error-checking select Check Now...
  • Check both boxes (Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors)
  • Click Start
  • Allow it to complete all 5 phases.
  • When it is done try to reboot from the hard drive.

Report back on the reboot attempt.

Please download Listparts and save it to your flash drive.
Download Attachment Attached File  fix.txt   25bytes   188 downloads
Save the attached fix.list in the same directory as ListParts.
Boot to the problem computer and run ListParts (the same way you run FRST).
Click Fix.
When it is finished click Scan and post the log (Result.txt) it makes.

Also try to boot normally and tell me how it went.

It is the disk that we make in Post # 10

We have primarily used it to run Farbar Recovery Scanner.

The best way to run the next steps is to do the Post #86 and post the log then go back and try the Recovery Console that has been blue screening on startup.
If it now works, which it should then you can do the chkdsk /r from Post #69.

If the Recovery console disk still blue screens then run the steps in Post #84 with OTLPE disk.

As always please let me know the results!
