I went to that landesk but I couldn't find anywhere to download it.
That is one of the hotfixes I tried from windows. It was one of 3 stand alones I tried to install manually. I'm tring to install it again but it keeps freezing up halfway through install.

It may have been at one time but it isn't now. I went to the microsoft link at the end of the first paragragh and downloaded the exact same app but it still wont install. As in my last post, it starts installation and the bar gets about half way while installing and stops.

lets try this
vista sfc /scannow
The System File Checker is an important application which scans the integrity of all the protected system files
Click Start...All programs...Accessories...Right Click Command Prompt...Run as administrator
click on Continue...type in sfc /scannow...press Enter...
If any files require replacing SFC will replace them...After the scan is done... Close the command prompt window.

I'm guessing I really suk at posting screenshots. Nothing I try allows me save it as a large readable picture. Any advice as to what I'm doing wrong, lol.
