I didn't know how to title it.
Here is what I'm trying to do (unsuccesfully)

I have a gameclient on my computer and packet editor for that game, which connects to gameclient port and server port.
The problem is I want to run that packet editor on my virtualbox and dont know how to redirect connection.

The packet editor program takes thees parameters:
my local lan ip
server ip and port
gameclient port
in addition it requires to add 1 line in hosts file:
my local lan ip connect.servernamehere.com
something like that:
192.168.0.10 connect.coolgame.com

I'm running windows xp (host machine) and virtualbox 4.0.16 with win xp installed as virtual machine

So I'm asking how to redirect connection to my program on VM and then back to the game which is running on my host PC?

I think you may get a better response from the Virtualbox forum: VirtuallBox on Windows 7 Hosts
