Hi Guys.

Thank you Phillpower2 for the build suggestions and the valued information. Quite right that this is a workstation rig and will have to work hard with transcoding/rendering.
As most of the work will be carried out by the CPU and RAM, an SSD would give good Boot time but I feel a larger 7200rpm would be more practical. The below build can still be tweaked.

I do plan on making a business out of this, but not on this build.

This is basically my learning PC.

This will be a foundation build, you will be able to upgrade hardware as you become proficient with the software and work becomes more demanding, will serve you well for the next 4/5 years, in the future you could build again, if required, keeping this as your backup machine or remove some parts and use it for a pure gamer..

=====

I feel bad not paying you for all this info.

we will take muscle cars, Posted Image. Concluding your topic is all I ask, even if you decide not go go ahead with the build.

Your final list build will work OK but I do have some concerns. it is a very good gaming rig and will play most games on high settings, but will not perform well for the video/modelling work you indicated. We can of course only point you in what we consider to be the right direction.

You have downgraded the CPU and no longer have Hyper threading, giving you 4 cores, you need 8 cores.

The Sabertooth Mobo was selected because it is robust and will take stress without packing upin 2 years. the Asus Z68 V Pro and the Z68 V Pro/gen3 are one step back in Mobo hierarchy,
each is slightly different in their internal structure. They will support the selected CPU but only with a BIOS update so to get functionality, (not everything) they fudge a bit. I strongly urge you at least buy the Asus Z77 V Pro which has the latest architecture, , > http://usa.asus.com/...155/P8Z77V_PRO/

For Adobe Premier/After Effects you need a min of 3 HDDs, you now only have one. I would also have been suggesting additional HDD RAID for your future upgrade path.

Wow, thanks! I had a buddy helping me with the build as well and he recommended that I downgrade some things for prices reasons but if these downgrades with effect my 3d and video editing I will not be going in that direction. So I should re-upgrade my cpu and mobo, then we will golden correct?

Also will these upgrades effect gaming or it will stay the same?

Again you guys are awesome, sorry I have not been listening to 100% of what you have been saying. I will from now on trust me.

Ok so I re-upgraded the cpu and mobo. I removed some of the hard drives because right now I will not be needing them.

I think we are good, now I think I can get the green light from you guys.

Hi.
On your update list, you do not have the case which is matche4d with the PSU, or the Monitor.
I have altered the HDD to give you more capacity. You can build this now and add more drives as you need them.

The gaming performance for this build is montly depended on the Video card and as this has not been altered games will play the same.
