Can't find ComboFix; don't think I've used it on this comp. I ran a Search too, with no luck.

Delete your existing copy and download a fresh copy to your desktop here.

Then run the fix.

For how long do I leave it to run? I've done what you say several times, yet it seems to freeze. Should I wait for ten minutes. Left it once for two hours. No movement. Yes I cleared everything with OTL in the file name - even from the bin! And ran fresh file from the desk top.

Just delete OTL from your desktop and download OTC

  • Download OTC to your desktop and run it
  • Click Yes to beginning the Cleanup process and remove these components, including this application.
  • You will be asked to reboot the machine to finish the Cleanup process. Choose Yes.
