Hey!

1est sorry for the rough english.

Since yesterday I'm not being able to open the site www.live.com (hotmail) on mozilla or chrome. They shut down and open the IE insted.
I look for answers on the internet , unfortunately , I didn’t find anything that could help so I'm posting here.

I tried sevrel things:
disabled IE
installed the latest Java
run the SuperAntiSpy
run TuneUp
run CCleaner
I've already set Mozilla as the main browser

But none of them worked. I'm runnig out of options, if any of you could help me I would appreciate.

Hi pc7,

Try the exercise below,

Go to Folder Options in Control Panel.

Click the File types and scroll to HTML. This specifies what program opens this type.

There you can change the open with to Foxfire.

Hi,

Tks for the quick answer, but (if I did everything right) doesn't work unfortunately. Theres a print showing that HTML is already opening in firefox.

I think that could be some kind of malware, but my antivirus doesn't detect anything (Microsoft Security Essentials) I will try another kind of antivirus to see if does any difference. here is the link that shows a video of what happens when I open the live.com site.

Hi again,

It seems that was a virus after all, like I suspected!
I put 2 more antivirus to run on my pc.
Avira and AVG (that I didn't like until today)
Avira find some things and things, that event wasn't a problem. But AVG detected this Trojans on the print:
