Btw, this comp is running a german localization of windows 7. If you need me to translate something from the logs let me know.
I don't have time to do more stuff right now. I'll get back to it after work, in like 12 hours.

1. I do NOT believe that it is the cause of this problem, but you have ONLY 2Gb ram, the motherboard has four ram slots (see below) and you have only one populated with a 2Gb stick. 2Gb is the absolute minimum for running 64 bit Windows and that is the quoted minimum to run the Windows installation, not accounting for the requirements of Windows and other programs
I strongly recommend that you consider increasing the ram, to a minimum of 4Gb using an exactly matched second stick of ram. When I say exactly matched I mean the same make capacity speed etc. In simple terms another of exactly what you have now. That I consider is the MINIMUM you should contemplate.
The motherboard has four ram slots but two slots are for DDR3 and two for DDR2
2 x DIMM, DDR3 1333 (O.C.) / 1066 / 800 MHz
2 x DIMM, DDR2 1066 (O.C.) / 800 / 667 MHz
Dual channel, Max. 8 GB, Non-ECC, Un-buffered memory
*DDR3 and DDR2 memory can not be used simultaneously
**Use DDR3 memory modules on the black slots and DDR2 memory modules on the blue slots
You have one stick of DDR3 - 2GB. As you see the maximum is 8GB.
HOWEVER this is for your general consideration, but I am of the opinion that running 64 bit Windows with 2Gb ram will NEVER be succesful
2. I would do the following
A. I would disable Windows Defender. It is running and should not be used together with AVAST and Spybot (Tea Timer)
You cannot uninstall Defender and should not attempt to do so.
Although this link deals with Vista the same procedure is used.
B. Spybot S&D
The resdent immunization, Tea-Timer and other functions of Spybot prevent installers, activeX and other functions necessary for windows updates. It will NOT effect all updates, but may well be the cause of the blocking for the major changes implented by Service Pack 1.
Personally I would uninstall it. However at the vert least you should disabled all functions
C. You have Avast installed.
As I have said previously esure it is disabled for both the download and the installation of the Service Pack.
D. You have Firefox - USE Internet Explorer for the download and installation of the SP
In fact my recommendation is that always use IE for updates even if you [prefer Firefox for your normal browser.
E Go Control Panel please programs and features click show updates left pane.
What is shown please for the SP1
Please try the above and let us know how you go on.

I deactivated avast permanently by the right-click option of the little avast icon bottom right 3 days ago. I just checked, it's been deactivated ever since. I guess that's enough or do i have to completely turn it off?
I disabled windows defender and completely uninstalled spybot s&d. Installation still failed after.
I cannot make sense out of your last few sentences. Seems like something has gone missing:
"E Go Control Panel please programs and features click show updates left pane.
What is shown please for the SP1
Please try the above and let us know how you go on. "
At least i checked in the installed updates if the sp1 kb was there but it isn't.
I just tried to download the "internet repair tool" as sugested by rockmilk, but the link ( http://majorgeeks.co....f942b034a8b48c ) is broken both on my ipad and the comp in question (so I assume it's really broken and not another issue over here). I tried to find it with google but wasnt sure which one it was so I didn't go on. Can you post the fixed link somehow?
Btw, i always used either windows update (which seems to dl sp1 everytime I try to install it) or windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe
Before I had it downloaded with firefox but I made a fresh download with ie before (after getting rid of spybot and windows defender).
Never thought that this would become so difficult to fix. Sorry.

I agree and said so
2. Do not browse without the AV please, I only meant to disable it as I said during the download and install only
3. Sorry about the confusion on the last part of the post,
Please try the above was a reference to Spybot and Avast and Defender
I then added above that the reference to checking if SP1 was shown as installed.
4. Please go windows button
right click computer click properties on the main window it shows the O/S please check that it does not show SP1
The reason is that occasionally an update can still be offered AFTER it has been installed,
See my screenshot pls
may suggest that it is already installed
5. Presuming that it will show that it is NOT installed
Run a chkdsk /r please as here.
check the results please as here
6. Run a system file check please as here.
If it finds errors that cannot be repaired please run it again after a reboot and up to three times as here
If SFC could not fix something, then run the command again to see if it may be able to the next time. Sometimes it may take running the sfc /scannow command 3 or more times to completely fix everything that it's able to.

Regarding the av, I do not use the comp at all besides to run fixes, visit sites and download stuff linked from here. I will turn it on tho whenever I'll go online nevertheless.
I just checked again, KB976932 isn't installed and in computer->properties it only shows Windows 7, but not "ServicePack 1".
I missed the chckdsk part. brb after checkdsk
Edit: oh well guess this'll run the next 8 hours.

chkdsk found 2 supposedly minor issues. My log is german again, here's my attempt of translation:
1. 739 unused index entries from file 0x9 are beeing cleaned up. 739 unused security descriptions are beeing cleaned up.
2. chkdsk found free space marked allocated in the the mft. chkdsk found free space marked allocated in the volume bitmap.
The log also says "0 kb in bad sectors" etc. It basicly all looks fine to me. I can post the log, if it helps.
The system file check came up with good results, saying something like "all systems files are perfectly fine".

I just ran the internet repair tool and there was one thing that was sticking out, as it obviously is somehow related to windows updates. I get an error box saying:
"cannot find 'wuauclt'. make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again"
Posted 18 July 2012 - 09:25 AM
See if that file is in this location
The wuauclt.exe file is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32
copy the bold and paste into the search programs and files box
When it appears above, if it does right click and click open file location

we are interested in what shows up in the CBS.log and look for something like Failed uninstalling driver updates get a screenshot for us
Posted 18 July 2012 - 01:29 PM
Then I opened the CBS.log. It's like 10kb in size and impossible to look through but searches for "driverUpdate", "uninstall" and "q-uninstall" (keywords that have been sticking out to me when reading step 2 in http://beerpla.net/2...1-installation/ ), all gave 0 results both with edit and wordpad (word pad to make sure I have the "whole words only" option unchecked).
