Hi again. I just discovered that my hard drive is set as a slave on the primary ide connector. I would like to set it as the master but wanted to ask your advice before i mess something up.
i also have a memorex dvd recorder set to master on the secondary ide and a dvd drive set to slave on the secondary. I don';t know if the hard drive being set as a slave is affecting the system or not but its my understanding that it should be set as the master.
I guess my question is will it affect my operating system if i simply unplug it and set it to the master or should i leave it alone? This is the first system that i have built myself and so far so good.
Thanks again
