I would appreciate any help. I followed the repair instructions, and then when the repair was finished it said to remove the CD and restart computer. When I restarted the computer, it went into the window setup mode and asked me to insert the windows CD. Will this reinstall windows and will I lose my data?

Please confirm what OS (operating system) you have/had installed, the computer specs list it as Vista http://www.dell.com/...odt_400mt&s=bpi but you have post here on the XP forum.

What type of disk was provided with the computer, system restore or a full Windows disk, provide a picture of the disk if you can please.
