Text size on HDTV monitor cannot be increased.

[I am using a Toshiba HDTV as a monitor. From what I gather, my equipment contains enough speed and memory needed for my purposes. however I cannot do anything to increase the font size of the websites that I visit. I tried the adjustments on Google Chrome - but they do not affect the text within third party websites. Can anyone help.

try this if your using W 7...get to the website then press and hold the ctrl key...then tap on the + key
each tap will make it larger...if you go to far ...
press the ctrl key and pressthe - key
