I am having trouble with www.mail.com . It was working without a hitch until 6/11/12, but not I get the message, ‘Please Enable Java Script in Your Browser.’ I went to Oracle and got a download, Java Script, software JRE-7U5-WINDOWS-F586, which put two plug-in in my Tools option, manage plug-ins, Java Plug-In SSV and Java Plug-in 2SSV, I enabled both, Also, I went to Internet Options, Security, to Custom Level and enabled Scripting of Java Applets and Active Scripting (already enabled), And to Regedit and checked HKEY-CLASSIC-ROOT, HKEY-CURRENT-USER, HKEY-LOCAL-MACHINE, AND HKEY-USER AND all had Java items in them, so I am stumped. Can anyone help? [note, a RESTORE was done]

Since what I did as listed above to try and correct the problem, I have reinstalled IE 8 and went to control panel and checked out everything under Java and all that should be enabled are. I am lost, and the wife is very angry as she can not get her email. Please help.

Java is not the same as Java Script.

Java Script is supported by your web browser directly, based on the settings you have in Internet Explorer / Internet Options.

The first thing I would try is install Firefox and see if the same problem occurs. If not then we know for sure it's a Internet Explorer problem and can work on that.

It is also possible that you have picked up some kind of malware. If Firefox has the same problem then please go to the Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal forum, read the first post and follow instructions.

Come back here once you get a clean bill of health if you still have problems.
