Hi guys,

i hope i found the right place 4 this topic, seems like the other treads are more trouble related...
in fact i just wanted to ask how secure SILC and off the record are, and if it's a good idea to use them both?

(thought about running one computer with arch linux, as a silc server and connecting it with pidgi and the off the record plugin)
I'm wondering if somebody did something like this be4?

thx 4 the answers in advance

No need to run a dedicated SILC server, pidgin-otr can pipe through a normal IM service like Live Messenger, Google Talk or Yahoo! Messenger.

And yes, I believe otr is secure, as long as you two do the fingerprint exchange correctly.
