Since I am going to get a valid Microsoft XP program, will it repair the issues that are going on with my computer? < Do I need the upgrade version or the full program? Do I need to f-disk to fix or can I backup my files with out them containing the virus to use with the valid windows software upgrade? I think I need a match!! Thank you

Hi Chickerley,

If you obtain a legal copy of XP, you can change the product key on your system by following the instructions from the microsoft knowledgebase article from the link below.

How to change product key.

This will leave your system intact exactly as it is, you would then be able to update to service pack 1a and we could quickly sort out your malware problems

Regards,
