Hi there,

I have been reading the forums re:clicksearchclick.com as it has also invaded my computer. It continues to set itself as the homepage in IE and when i open up a new browser it re-directs to clicksearchclick.com. Often words within a webpage are underlined and linked to clicksearchclick.com.

I have Windows XP pro and have run AdAware SE, spybot S&D, virus program and all other programs suggested in your 'read this before posting a HJTlog forum'. I have done all of the things mentioned in there but still can't get rid of it. I hope you can help as i am an external student studying via internet and this obviously slows the computer down and is extremely frustrating.

One other thing i have noticed, i am not sure if it is related, when windows begins a window appears that states: on the top of the window 'RUNDLL' and then in the box -'error loading c:\WINDOWS\cfgmgr52.dll - the specified module cannot be found'

Here is my hijackthis log:

Hi,

Just to tell you, this may take a couple times.

----------------

Download this tool: LQfix.zip
Unzip it to your Desktop.
Don't use it yet!

IMPORTANT! Reboot the computer into Safe Mode (tap F8 during bootup, use arrow keys to select Safe Mode, then hit 'enter').

Doubleclick LQfix.bat that you saved on your desktop before.
A doswindow will open and close again, that is normal.

Open HiajckThis, click the "Scan" button, and check the following items:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.clicksearchclick.com/
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch =
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PaciSoft] C:\WINDOWS\System32\pacis.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [exp.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\exp.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [C:\WINDOWS\IEXPLOR.EXE] C:\WINDOWS\IEXPLOR.EXE
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [version] C:\WINDOWS\System32\Ptqrgf.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [cfgmgr52] RunDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\cfgmgr52.dll,DllRun
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [qfqlbih] c:\windows\system32\tqeonk.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [qzeb] C:\WINDOWS\qzeb.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [r63f36U] dfsay32.exe
O20 - Winlogon Notify: WindowsUpdate - C:\WINDOWS\system32\k2no0c53ef.dll

Close all windows except HijackThis, and click the "Fix Checked" button.

Locate the folowing files and delete them:

C:\WINDOWS\qzeb.exe
c:\windows\system32\tqeonk.exe
C:\WINDOWS\cfgmgr52.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\Ptqrgf.exe
C:\WINDOWS\IEXPLOR.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\System32\exp.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\pacis.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\k2no0c53ef.dll

Click Start-->Find. Find the following file and delete it:

dfsay32.exe

Reboot into normal mode and scan with HijackThis. Post the new log as a reply to this thread.

Hi,

You have the latest version of VX2. Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

http://www.atribune....oads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads....org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe.

Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Hi,

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

[color=red]IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

after running killbox i rebooted to normal mode. when it started in windows a c:\windows\system32\mmlapa.exe window opened. There was a lot of text in the window but it was un readable... all scrambled letters, numbers and characters... while the text was scrolling then comp was beeping the whole time.

Then another c:\ dos prompt opened... it was ppuc.exe... this did the same as above... after it stopped a windows window opened saying it couldn't find the file and missing parameters or something similar. It showed the exact path that i had deleted in killbox earlier.. (the last on on the list)

Here is another qloogic log
