Hi
I got a lenovo g570 yesterday and have set everything up, but have no internet connection.
Wireless is set up and connected, but no internet. There is no internet through fixed cable either.
Have spent hours trying to find a solution, but all suggestions have drawn a blank so far
Can anyone help me please?

Can you please Open your device manager and check to see if there are any yellow ? or ! Marks next to anything,if so then here is the link to your drivers.

Can you also make sure that the below services are started and set to automatic.Hit the windows key and r at the same time then type Services.msc in the run box then you can check the status of the services below.

Computer Browser
DHCP Client
DNS Client
Network Connections
Network Location Awareness
Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
Server
TCP/IP Netbios helper
Wireless Zero Configuration (XP)
WLAN AutoConfig
Workstation

Reboot your machine if anything needs to be changed. Let us know how things turn out.
