Hi there, new to this site. I have carried through all your instructions for running the different programmes for cleaning up my computer but system still freezes when I try to download from the internet - hope you can help.

Hi Chris,

Your log is clean, so I will need some more information.
Were you using a downloadmanager before?
Any idea when or how it started?

Does it happen for all filetypes or is it specific for some sites?
Whatever extra information you can provide might help.

Thanks very much for your fast reply. It would appear to be a registry problem that a 'computer friend' has now fixed. However, I could not have had a 'clean' computer if I had not followed the instructions on your excellent site before I posted.
