my computer keeps saying inserting an index $0 for file 19957 or

I have a compaq presario 700 and when i turn it on it says that one of my disks has a consistency then the hole page says inserting an index to $0 for file 19957 or something. then when i unplug the computer from the charger the computer cuts off and want cut back on, only when the charger is plugged in. does anyone know what is wrong please help me

first the battery must be dead so do not disconnect the charger until the battery is charged up
by unplugging the charger your crashing windows and possibly hurting the hard drive
you need to run chkdsk /r...

HOW TO RUN CHKDSK /R ON WINDOWS 7 here...

put a check in both boxes
automatically fix file system errors
scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors
then click on start...


you will receive a message asking if you wish to schedule a scan. Accepting this will perform the scan next time you restart your PC

click on y and press enter then reboot
