I have a MacBook I purchased in '06 that will not turn on. I hear a slight clicking when I try to turn it on but I get no video or sound. The screen flashes a little bit when I turn it on too, but that's it nothing else. I tried all the sugested steps from apple.com and nothing helped. I cant spend too much on this, i already bought a new battery from apple which did not help so that's why I thought I might ask. Does anyone have any suggestions?

A 6 year old laptop is getting long in the tooth Irishlady even though it's an all singing Mac and I would suggest that it has had its day.

I believe Wolfeymole is right about the laptop dying. If you have any important information on that hard drive you might have to remove it and transfer them over to a new computer.

Hello,
Well it's been almost 6 years and your Mac is become older by warranty so better remove all data and purchase news one.
If you want..
