i have a large DVD file on my PC and want to transfer onto a dvd disc/s(europe area 2) so i can delete and free up space.

however i cannot seem to get my head around exactly how to do this ?

The file is a .avi and is called HDTV.XviD-AFG.it is 1'188'335 kb.

The software i am using is BurnAware Free.

Any advise as to how i go about doing this on my Burnaware Free or any other (preferrably free) software would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Give imgburn a look @ http://www.imgburn.com/

I am only suggesting the free software and in no way suggesting that you use any other product or service at the link.

ImgBurn will work fine for your needs. You simply need to select "Write files/folders to disk" when you run the program. An external burning program is not required with ImgBurn, it takes care of that internally. Do note however, that this will simply archive the file onto the disk. (Which seems to be your intention) It will NOT play natively in a dvd/blu-ray player unless said player is compatible with playing back raw video files.
