HI, members of geek to go.

I open internet explore like always, and everything look ok, but I trying to open my emails in my homepage (att.net) and the site said that it can't retrieve the information, and if I can finally go to the page that I can put my ID and password, after that an OOOOP appear and tell me that is an client error site, I reset internet explorer thinking that can help but not, still the same jproblem, I spoke with att. and they said, that my IE have a problem. is anyway to reinstall internet explorer, never do that so I need help with this.

Thanks you for any help anyone can give me with this matter.

what version of internet explorer are you using?

couple things to try,

first one would be to try a different browser like firefox, opera, or chrome.

first would be to try a different usermode in explorer if you're using ie9. to do this go to the login page for your mail (but don't login yet) and press f12. this will bring up a code view window. across the top of that window you'll see an area that says "browser mode" click that and choose ie7 then login and try your mail.

Hi, dsenette.

Thanks your for you help.. I try the f12, but nothing appear in my screen. but I have another problem, IE9 is frozen solid, for long period of time. and I not like firefox browser and I can't do nothing to unfreeze it. I have to open task manager to closed the IE, do you know what can be the problem. I check for virus and nothing is showing on my anti-virus. how I can go back to IE8? or reinstalled IE8, my IE9 is not showing in add and remove program, I can find it in programs in my computer. what I doing wrong...

please help...

it's fine if you don't like firefox, or opera, or whatever, i was asking for you to try those to see if your email works correctly in those browsers. IF you can, could you please try a different browser and see if you can get to your email correctly?

to uninstall IE9 on windows7 you go to add/remove programs and click on the "show updates" link on the left side of the window. that will show Internet Explorer 9 in the list (somewhere near the bottom). then you can uninstall ie9 and reboot, at that point you will have ie8 installed

Thanks again to come back to help me. I know have to be very hard for you to undertand me. sorry for that. yes I try another browser, in fact I try fire fox, and I can check my e-mail with that one. yes I found my IE9, is in view installed updates in the left... thanks, and I think I erased IE enable (def) I click it twice and dessapear without the computer ask me to unintalled it.. but I not want to unitall that I want to check what was.

Ps. you remember that they said, that some people going to have a problems with computer for some kind of virus or bugs that go to spread around the net, I was using my computer that day, the next day my computer start to be slow to boots, and take to long to the computer open IE and thinking to much after open the screen to show me my homepage, is like thinking to much, for that I was thinking to erase IE9 to see if that can help with the problem that I was having. i run my anti-virus and no show any virus in my computer I don't know if it related but thanks for any help that you can give me with this too

the scheduled virus that everyone was talking about would have effected all of your internet access not just getting to your email, so that's not likely the culprit. could still be a virus of some kind, so, let's get you over to the experts

Please read the Malware/Spyware cleaning guide here follow the instructions at the top....

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty (and you may not be) then post an OTL log in THE MALWARE FORUM forum.
(Posting OTL logs or ANY other logs requested in the malware/spyware cleaning guide in any other forum other than the malware forum is forbidden. If you post any of these logs in any other forum, it will be removed and it will take you longer to get help, so please make sure you only post logs in the malware forum)

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread..
