Well I've been using it for a few days now, but it's still temperamental. I mostly notice the internet not working after waking the computer up from sleep or after a period of not browsing the internet.

There should be an exact model number on there someplace, possibly on the bottom of the laptop.
The model number should start out with an "N" US models begin with NP700, UK models begin with just the "N"

Looks like there is a little more to that number, perhaps on another sticker, or in a different place on the sticker...
Here is an example of one model number,
NP700Z5AH | NP700Z5A-S01US

I don't think there is much difference between the 700Z5A's but I want to make sure you are getting the correct driver.

Is that ok?

That's the number I needed

Please go to here to the Samsung downloads page for your model.
Once there, click on Driver over on the left.

Sorry but the website design won't allow me to link you directly to the file, so please scroll down and look for this file:
Windows 7(32bit, 64bit) - 5.100.82.95 - Wireless LAN,BROADCOM - 2 Sep, 2011
and click on the little ZIP icon way over on the right side.

AFter you download that file, create a temporary folder on your desktop, then open the zip file and extract the files to the temporary folder on your desktop.

Right click on Inst.exe and select run as administrator to start the install of the new driver.

After it's installed and you do a reboot, take it out for a test ride, and let me know how things are.

I ran the installation, but am not sure it actually installed anything - a box appeared saying installation may take a few mins, then disappeared after about a minute with no prompts or dialogues. I ran it as an administrator.

Still no change to problem after restarting

Ok, let's check the driver version number and see if it is the newest one.

Click the Start Orb, and type into the search box Device Manager
Once in the Device Manager, expand the heading Network Adapters
Right Click on the Broadcom entry and select Properties
Click on the Driver tab, then copy and paste the Driver Version number and the Driver Date into your next response.

Hi
Can you tell me if you ever had a program called logmein installed on this machine?

Step 1
Please open a Notepad window and copy the text in the code box below into it.

ping 192.168.1.254 -n 10 >> C:\netresult.txt
ping home.artellos.com -n 10 >> C:\netresult.txt
ping 217.121.176.53 -n 10 >> C:\netresult.txt
tracert -d 217.121.176.53 >> C:\netresult.txt
tracert -d 217.121.176.53 >> C:\netresult.txt
tracert -d 217.121.176.53 >> C:\netresult.txt
route print >> C:\netresult.txt
notepad C:\netresult.txt

Save it on your desktop as TEST.BAT
right click on TEST.BAT and select Run as Administrator
This will take a minute or two to run, when it's finished netresult.txt will open in notepad
Please copy that text, and paste it into your next response.

I'd like you to also take a look in the uninstall a program screen for anything called Hamachi. Let me know if either is in the list, but don't uninstall either at the moment.

I have had Hamachi installed, but I remember uninstalling it. It's not appearing in the uninstall program screen. I'm pretty sure I've never had Logmein installed though.

I know this will sound strange, but my internet has been working over the weekend ever since I moved the computer off the table I had it on. Thinking back, I think this problem co-incided when I moved the laptop onto this table. I tried using it on the table yesterday, it didn't work, but as soon as i took it off it did. Have you heard anything like this happen before? At all times i have had a strong wifi signal to my router.

Anyway, here is the TEST.BAT output
