I have read the whole of the topic.

As you will have seen many of the BSOD refer to a possible thermal issue, in otherwords running hot and most likely I would think the grpahics or processor.

Common causes are overclocking which you say you have not, or dust build up on the coolings fins and fan of the CPU. - which again you say is not the cause.

I would check the temps both using the facilities of the temp monitoring on the motherboard and running Hardware Monitor

http://www.cpuid.com.../hwmonitor.html

The free edition

although as it will not even load, it is difficult to imagine that, IF the thermal issue is correctly suggested that it is restricted to the game.

I cannot unfortunately suggest anything else except to ask

On the very first link I sent you there are 16 possible suggestions - have you tried all of those relevant.

Here is another link I found

http://www.guide4gam...g-while-playing

but please be aware that DirectX is inatlled with windows 7 and is not available as a separate download and the version is directx 11, so unless gthe issue is covered by the Direct X 9 requirement the entry to download the latest Direct X is irrelevant.

I suppose if you are brave, the BIOS update if there is one on the motherboard site is worth a try, but as you already know, it is risky

That processor requires BIOS version FD released 2011/08/29

AMDFX-4100

3600MHz

1MBx48MB

Bulldozer

32nm

FD

1.15 MB

so you will know if that is the BIOS version.

Sorry I do not have any other suggestions.

Well that is OK as FE was later and therefore incorporates whatever was in FD.

To clarify the processor requires FD or later NOT the FA etc.
