google redirect virus won't go away

I just got that outrageously annoying and stupid virus again.

And I don't have a clue how to get rid of it. I tried deleting the hosts file in the etc. folder.
I tried scanning with TDSSKiller, found an infected file, and for some dumb reason, it did absoulutely nothing when it was supposedly "curing" (just sat at the screen for several minutes, didn't do anything so I got frustrated and closed it with task manager).

And I don't know where else to turn.

Also, I'm very sorry, but I can't post the OTL thing because it froze while it was scanning! It's been scanning and froze for several minutes D:

....aaaaand misspelled my own name.
