Carried out all the other steps. No problems.

Based on the assumption that my computer is now clean please accept my heartfelt thanks for your persistence and exhaustive efforts to bail me out. Much obliged. I'm in your debt. Without knowledgeable folks like yourself who are willing to take their valuable time to help others the rest of us would surely be in dire straits.
