going in bios will have no effect.

The letter is determined by windows.

For whatever reason, your cd-rom stepped ahead in the boot process at the wrong time....rebooting almost always fixes it.

If not, come back

right click MY COMPUTER, choose MANAGE, choose DISK MANAGEMENT

choose the REMOVABLE drive by right clicking on it in the lower panel, select change drive letter and paths, and select CHANGE, then choose a suitably high letter (for NOW, say M)

Then select a CD-ROM, do the same, give it a letter like N

Then a DVD drive, do the same, give it a letter like O

DO NOT CHANGE THE HARDDRIVE.

Reboot, Windows will automatically set it to the first available letter

On reboot, is it C: now?

If so, now you can change the others back to whatever you want. If not, post back

could you please make half an effort at spelling and grammar? Not asking for perfection, but ne, im, prob, ave, decect....it is VERY frustrating for people who are trying to help you.

Let's work on one problem at a time...local drive is still F:?

Did you do anything in BIOS before this? What kind of computer is this? Motherboard or model number available?
