yesterday wen i installd it
but it had the prob wit the screen shuttn off back i think on weds of last wk

im gonna be back in bout 2hrs and i still need help on gettn screen to stop shuttn off
also im gonna do a repair on the install of xp i hope that helps wit the harddrive u know changn from C: to F:

im doing the repair now
im on dads comp
in fact im doing chkdsk now and i have it doing the chkdsk /r to repair whatever
i hope it works

crap i did chkdsk /r and it said it recoverd some errors
but wen i rebootd it only showd the xp logo no users to login in
this sucks

Did you do anything in the case?

This can occur when the harddrive is placed on the second controller and the drive is slaved....

For some reason, I assumed that this had spontaneously occured since you kept saying I want it back the way it was.

Is that case....did you remove the drive and put it back in (differently)

no nothing different
in fact on the default setting u know wen u get a drive well i didnt change a thing with the jumper

well the install fixd the harddrive letter it now back to C:
