Can't manually update Spywareblaster

When I try to manually update Spywareblaster I get this message:"Error connecting to update server. The server may be temporarily unavailable, or there may be a conflict with firewall software installed on your computer. The update information file may have also gotten corrupted during download."

I use Avast and Windows firewall and XP Home operating system. Thanks for any replies.
