To start off, this is my first time using this forum so if this post is in the wrong place, i apologize.
Anyway, I think i may have malware. Everytime I open up chrome, the homepage is set to search.startnow.com. I have tried numerous times to change it back through options in chrome, but nothing works. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled chrome. A few online websites suggested that I search the process in task manager and my registries for startnow, but nothing is there. Please help!

Hi there lets get some data first

Download OTL to your Desktop
  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.

  • Select All Users
  • Under the Custom Scan box paste this in
    netsvcs
    %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.exe
    /md5start
    services.*
    explorer.exe
    winlogon.exe
    Userinit.exe
    svchost.exe
    /md5stop
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Media\WMSDK\Local\AutoProxyCache /s
    CREATERESTOREPOINT
  • Click the Quick Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  • Post both logs
