lets try this...
go to OC Tuner Utility in the bios
OC Tuner utility automatically overclocks the frequency and voltage of the CPU and DRAM.
Press Enter to start auto tuning. It takes around fve minutes, and the system will reboot several times until auto tuning is completed.

Just curious as to why we want to overclock now after you wanted to set everything to default?

24 code means increase/decrease QPI/VTT
and sense you haven't been overclocking lets try OCing a little

I apologize for the delayed response. Okay so I did the OC Tuner thing in the BIOS setup. Here are the screen shots from CPU-Z of the CPU & Memory for before & after. So far I've been able to run Maya fine for about a half hour with no BSOD 
. I'll continue to run it for a few hours to see how it holds up and I'll report back. So far so good .

ARGH! . So it blue screened again on me. Although it crashed I was able to work a good bit longer so that's progress...

maybe monitoring both the processor a video card temps and pausing the program for a couple of minutes here and there if either starts heating up to much will allow you to finish a project without crashing

Funny you should mention that. I actually took about an hour break in between working on it. I worked for about and hour, took a break, and started back again only to have it crash within 15mins .
