I am connected to Network wirelessly. Over the past couple of months I have received error message that my IP address is assigned to another user. I would hit trouble shooter and it would resolve.
My problem
A few days ago when trying to connect to Internet I receive the yellow triangle and server not found. My internet connection still shows that I am connected.
I unplugged the modem and router. Still receive the message.
Other computers can connect wirelessly.
Over the past few days I have tried the troubleshooter and get results that there is a problem with my router or modem. This can't be true because other computers do connect wirelessly just fine.
I have done a system restore two times with no success.
I noticed that my wireless network adapter and network adapter have been disabled. I have uninstalled and reinstalled.
My computer recognizes these devices and still I have no Internet access.
I have tried trouble shooter with these devices and get a message that they are in working order. But when I pull them up in device manager, they are showing to be connected but disabled.
I have ran troubleshooter in administrative mode- and still get the same results.
I have reviewed forums and found one or two posts similar to my problem and have set the TCP/IP address with no results
I have completely disabled by Antivirus program and firewall.
I have completely removed all network connections and reinstalled
I have restarted my computer multiple times thoughout each process; many times after each uninstall/reinstall.
Throughout this process the Intel my wifi utility has been disabled - I have enabled it multiple times But it still comes up as disabled.
HELP please... I am almost ready to crash my computer and start from scratch again.
Thanks
