Create a restore point!!

I would also like you to download the file below save it to your desktop unzip it there then right click and select merge thie file will set all of your services back to default in case something got changed.
http://www.blackvipe...v100.zip?7501a5

Also please uninstall the program below.
UnThreat Free AntiVirus Installer (Version: 4.2.33.0)

Then download the windows all in one repair tool and run it as admin with all the boxes checked below.

Reset registry Permissions
Reset file permisssions
Register system files
Repair WMI
Repair windows firewall
repair mdac/ms jet
remove policies set by infections
repair winsock and dns cache

Reboot your machine.

Now check your issue.
If all of the above fails then you might consider setting a static ip for this machine so that there is not any conflict with other machines in your household.

I found my drivers and utilities disc and was running that by the time I read your post.

After running the drivers and utilities disc - I am able to connect I am guessing by ethernet cable, as I did not take the time to look at my connection, but can not find wireless in my collapsed toolbar.

Now I have messed up my USB port and am unable to use my mouse.

I still ran the program you have requested and here are the results:

Can you try a restore point to just before you messed up the usb functionality, then go to your manufacturers website and download your network drivers since this issue now seems to be driver related.Another method you could look at is to see if your mouse works in safemode and from there uninstall your wireless driver your wired driver all of your usb drivers and then your mouse and keyboard drivers windows will reinstall upon reboot.
If you have a dell machine then you will need the service tag number other wise go to the manufactures website enter your model number and from there the most recent drivers should be made available to you for download.Let me know if you need any assistance with this process, you can list the exact make and model of your machine and I will send you the link to your drivers for you.
I do not see any drives missing in the unkown device id log.Let me know if you need further assistance.
Your only option for a system restore may be through safemode with command prompt.
http://www.worldstar...command-prompt/

Or in normal mode you hit the windows key and r at the same time then type cmd when the command prompt opens then tyoe rstui.exe then hit enter. :)

Edit: Typo the command for system restore is Rstrui.exe

Restore point created after connecting to internet.

windows all in one repair tool...
Since I have uninstalled my antivirus/malware program (Unthreat), I am hesitant to download from my duck duck web search.
Can you provide a link for me please?
(I use firefox browser so windows does not auto load for me).

I can tolerate the nonworking USB drives for now.... will figure that out later.
I just want a working internet connection before all of this mess started. I was preparing to clean my computer and start again from scratch.

So you are in the machine in question now?
http://majorgeeks.co...748a38eb328614e

Also Why not visit the intel update utility.
http://www.intel.com...detect/graphics

As far as the usb device goes you can uninstall all of them from your device manager and reboot

Here I suggest that you switch to Avast.

Yes; from the time I posted that I found my drivers and utilities disc, I messed up my usb during that process. I'm connected via ethernet right now. Have not checked my wireless.

Ok. will do.

Ok. Thats a long story for me. In short, I THOUGHT AVG had touted itself as Avast; had problems, since then I know that they are two different programs. (Most likely, it was a link on internet that combined AVG and Avast now that I think about it).

As long as I was connected to ethernet cord, I was connected to internet.
It did not matter what I did, somehow, the drivers were not present within my system for my wireless internet.

I have ended up resetting my computer back to factory settings and can now connect wirelessly to my internet. (Of course backed up my information before doing so).

I am now in the process of updating drivers and utilities from dell website based on my computer service tag.
Thanks for the help. :)
