hello

my computer started to shut down for no reason
I noticed the fan stopped working
so every software action causes a shutdown

I opened the laptop case and saw that the fan spins at startup
but later on does nothing to disperse the heat
so I am using it open right now on an external ventilator

should I buy a new fan?
how can I check for its activity?

the thing is that a service provider would charge me at least 150 euro,
which is almost as buying a new laptop

thank you

If you feel confident enough to take the laptop apart as you have then yes if you can see how to replace the fan do so.
There should be lots of videos on youtube showing how to do it and I can find one for you if you like.
Also another suggestion is a laptop cooling pad that will help blow cool air into the laptop. They look like this HERE.
